A team from our church is going to Guatemala next month and I so would love to be with them... but other details are not allowing it. OH, if the day ever comes, I'll be one happy cookie. To share the Lord and share the needs... have done it in other countries a few times, and would so love to do it again. Thanks for the reminder.
I've never been on a mission trip. It seems the missions keep coming to us, and I think that's the way God works it for some of us. But someday, I'd love to make the trip to another part of the world and meet some more of the people Jesus loves.
Love mission trips, they change us more than the ones we go to help I think. Great photos and I know your heart is there as you think about your husband.
Dawn is a writer, Bible teacher, speaker, and pastor's wife. She co-founded Columbia World Outreach Church in Columbia, South Carolina with her husband, Mike. By day, Dawn manages a law firm. In the leftover hours she writes for various online and print publications. You are welcome here. What you will find is real life and a faith that's a living organism -- which is to say it's growing and sometimes cranky, exuberant, stinky, wobbly, petulant, overconfident, tired, satisfying, and beautiful. May you find here some courage to own your own days and your own unfinished faith.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, if we do so for the least of these... the little ones... Lord God open our hearts.
ReplyDeletePraying now for this team. My husband hopes to go this summer.
