Can you imagine just hanging out in the field one night and suddenly the entire sky lights up with glowy angels blowing on their trumpets? I don't know if the words "Fear not" would have done it for me. :)
Love those brass angels....our pastor's message this morning came from Luke 2:1-14...as he taught on exchanging fear for peace. Your post just reinforces his message. Thank you.
I agree with Deidra...not sure if the words "fear not" would have worked for me...but the sight of the angels would be divine!! Beautiful pic and verse!
Shanda is right...your photo would make a beautiful Christmas card. Dawn, thank you for your kindness, comments and prayers; they have helped. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Dawn is a writer, Bible teacher, speaker, and pastor's wife. She co-founded Columbia World Outreach Church in Columbia, South Carolina with her husband, Mike. By day, Dawn manages a law firm. In the leftover hours she writes for various online and print publications. You are welcome here. What you will find is real life and a faith that's a living organism -- which is to say it's growing and sometimes cranky, exuberant, stinky, wobbly, petulant, overconfident, tired, satisfying, and beautiful. May you find here some courage to own your own days and your own unfinished faith.
